Mum, what are we doing today? In Sellin, children experience holidays full of adventure! A treasure hunt on the beach or a bike tour through the Granitz, handicrafts in the Kurverwaltung or puppet theatre on the Friedensberg. Water sports and adventure pool, festivals and concerts – we are one big family and are happy to welcome new members.
Holiday children meet local teenagers at the municipal Teenager Centre. Young people can play on the computer and compete in billiards, table tennis or darts. During the summer months, the centre is stationed at the Südstrand-Treff and organises activities, games and events on the beach and in nature. Accompanied by dedicated staff, leisure time is much more than just time spent together.

Professional „fun makers“ are also invited to many events in Sellin. They juggle with the little ones, make tattoos in airbrush technique or organise bouncy castle jumping competitions. In summer, the Pirate Festival and Neptune Festival for children take place at the pier. At the spa administration they learn about up-cycling or repair their little friends with the stuffed animal specialist. The KIMUGI Children’s and Musical Theatre puts on plays for children in the tent every summer.
Kurverwaltung Ostseebad Sellin
On 2,700 square metres, 18 courses with different levels of difficulty await sport-loving visitors of all generations. The cheerful challenges on offer range from the classics „ace course“ and „volcano“ to the „sloping somersault“. The aim of this sporting pastime is to get the ball into the hole in as few strokes as possible. The rules are easy to learn – you can read them on the Seepark Putter homepage.

Outstanding artists from all over the world perform in a brilliant Varieté show in a class of its own. As the founder of the „Sommervarieté Rügen“ project, Dimitri Sacharow stages a new show every season, exclusively for the almost 600 square metre Sellin mirror tent. The exciting events inspire all generations. In winter there is the opportunity to enjoy „Show & Dine“ live entertainment or to experience theatre programmes and comedians.

Throughout the summer, an adventure park is set up at Seepark Sellin. Then visitors can experience many beautiful attractions. A 30-metre high Ferris wheel provides the right overview, a bungee trampoline is ready, children’s merry-go-rounds and typical fairground stalls are fun. Among them a souvenir grab or duck fishing. Hunger and thirst are fought with delicious snacks, which are also on offer there.
All three children’s playgrounds in Sellin are not from a catalogue, but have been lovingly designed with maritime elements to match the Baltic Sea. Small children feel at home at the Kurpark, the older ones board a pirate ship in the Seepark or climb aboard via the gangway while their parents go shopping. There are children’s playgrounds opposite the Kurverwaltung, near the pier and directly on the Friedensberg with a fitness trail. There is another playground at Seedorf harbour.
In a family atmosphere, the Sellin ice skating area offers space for everyone on 550 square metres. Even the little ones can take their first steps here in the Seepark and culinary refreshments are also available. Regularly from the beginning of December until the end of February, the ice rink is a daily attraction for children and adults. Regulars bring their own blades, but skates of all sizes can also be rented on site. The best way to visit is with friends and a day ticket.

Cool kids go skating! The only skate park on the island of Rügen is located five minutes from the beach, between Sellin and Baabe. It can be used with a skateboard, BMX bike or inline skates. A mini-ramp next to the skatepark invites you to warm up and ensures relaxed sessions at the barbecue. Skate stuff can also be purchased in the associated skate shop. The skate park is run by the „Rügen rollt!“ association, which also likes to ride and organise a contest itself.
