With the Deutsche Bahn you are in Sellin in 4,5 hours with a favorable connection from Berlin. Then take the ICE train to Bergen on Rügen and board a bus there. From Cologne, the journey by ICE to Bergen takes about 8 hours and 1 more hour by bus to Sellin. Even though this is a day’s journey – it usually does not take longer than driving your own car on the highway, which is often quite crowded, especially around Hamburg.
The easiest way to reach the island of Rügen by car is via the A19 and the A20. The feeder road B96 leads you over the Rügen Bridge, which crosses the Strelasund near Stralsund, and from Bergen over the B196 to the Baltic Sea resort Sellin. Alternatively, we recommend taking the car ferry in Stahlbrode during peak travel times. This route leads along the avenues of the historic Bäderstraße and via Garz, Putbus and Lancken-Granitz to Sellin.
