Beach Polo Cup Rügen / Sellin 30.9 – 03.10 2011

Right at the beautiful Baltic sea beach, at the sea bridge, the Beach Polo Cup Cup Rügen / Sellin takes place. Rügen becomes another successful beach polo events besides those at Timmendorfer Strand and on the isle of Usedom. In the beginning of October, daily from 12.00  6 national and international polo teams will carry out their exciting chukkas right on the beach, by the sea bridge. Up to 50 argentine polo horses can be admired on the beach and at the pony line. The games started daily at 12.00.

To round up this event there is an attractive programme for the whole family. Polo on the beach, that means pure dynamic. Strong and powerful horses thunder by the audience, a quick turn of direction, splashing sand, a precise hit, the ball gushing onto “goal” and cheering fans. Beach polo means action, sport and pure power. In 2011 Autohaus Manfred Eggert presented an innovation on the beach during the breaks. Racing spins on the Baltic sea with RIB-boats were part of the dynamic supporting programme.

Apart from the VIP-area, viewers may enjoy the sporting event free along the  polo field. Every game is moderated by an expert.
