The village parts of Sellin Moritzdorf, Altensien, Neuensien and Seedorf are the rural and beautifully shaped counter-parts to the throbbing life ot the Baltic seaside resort Sellin.Bauernhof 1914

The magic words for the nature-lover who enjoys tranquility in natural surrounding and rural seclusion are: Altensien, Moritzdorf, Seedorf and Neuensien. These are little villages along a hillside between Sellin and Neuensien Lake. In a local government reform they had been assigned to the Baltic seaside resort Sellin on 1 January 1962. After the abolition of serfdom in Swedish-Pomerania and Ruegen in the year 1806 the young Prince of Putbus Malte Wilhelm I. takes social responsibility for his subjects very seriously. To bind the inhabitants to the land, he awards land and meadow to young families, that they could build a house and keep a cow. 1810/11 Seedorf is established at the Lancken beek and rapidly develops into a village of sailors and fishermen.
