Sellin’s pier is a fantastic castle by the sea

The seaside resort Sellin is proud of its famous pier „Seebrücke“ built in the most beautiful style of spa architecture. The pier and the chalk cliff „Königsstuhl“ are the most prominent symbols of the Isle of Rugen. A traditional summer holiday or chic spa life – today there is plenty opportunity again to enjoy it and relax in a marvellous atmosphere. The pier was built in 1906, at the height of the fashionable spa architecture. A “stairway to heaven” and also a comfortable lift lead down to it from the splendid “Wilhelmstraße”. In 1998 the pier was rebuilt from historical models.
