Dive into the World of the Seas
With the diving gondola towed up at Sellin pier, visitors may venture out the fascinating underwater worlds of the Baltic Sea without getting their feet wet. Although the gondola dives up to 4 m into the deep sea and rests just 1 m above the bottom of the sea, pressure load remains the same as at land because the gondola is constructed pressure-resistant. Being submerged you learn interesting facts about the Baltic sea, about animals and plants – even to be watched if sight and season are apt, in front of the windows. A further window to the world of seas is the 3D-underwater film about the Baltic Sea. Moon jellyfish, tiny planktons, fast shrimps, and majestic flatfish draw along sea weed and sandy ground. From the Baltic Sea to the Great Barrier Reef and to the Bahamas goes the journey, when a further 3D-film impressively illustrates the importance of coral reefs for the whole planet.
